Everyone is talking about the Philadelphia Phillies being the red hot favorites to go all the way to the World Series title this year. In terms of consistency, the Phillies have been no.1 for the last four seasons, winning the East Division title four straight years from 2007-2010, plus the NL Pennant in 2008 and 2009, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in the 2008 World Series final, but losing 4-2 to the New York Yankees in 2009. Think 2011 is rubber-stamped as the return of the Phillies? Be sure to check the MLB predictions at

MLB Predictions
Last year the Phillies were the strongest team in the entire MLB league, winning the NL East title with the most wins, 97, against the fewest defeats, 65, for a .599 winning percentage. They were top seeds going into the NL championships, and duly crushed NL Central champs the Cincinnati Reds 3-0. However, they were to fall in the championship game, going down 4-2 to the eventual World Series champions the San Francisco Giants.
This year the Phillies look stronger than ever, with a fearsome pitching lineup of Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels. Can anyone stop them becoming 2011 World Series Champions? Check out the top quality
MLB predictions from

One team who will definitely be out to spoil the Phillies World Series party are the mighty 27 times champions the New York Yankees. Last year the Yankees began their campaign as defending champions, but underachieved in the regular season, finishing runner up to the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East Division, and only qualifying for the AL championships as fourth seed.
In true Yankees style, they appeared to be hitting form at just the right time, demolishing 2nd seeds the Minnesota Twins 3-0 in the opening round. However, it would be the Texas Rangers who would complete their own fairy tale, winning their first ever Pennant, even if they did ultimately go down 4-1 in the World Series final to the San Francisco Giants.
Will the Yankees win their 41st American League Pennant in 2011? Will they claim their 28th World Series title? Follow the very best

MLB Predictions
Casting a jealous eye at the Phillies and the Yankees title aspirations are third favorites, the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox - Yankees rivalry is the most famous in American sports, comparable only with Manchester United vs Liverpool in the English Premier League, and Real Madrid vs Barcelona in Spain's La Liga.
Seven times World Series champions themselves, the Red Sox have failed to capitalize on their crushing 4-0 World Series win over the Colorado Rockies in 2007, failing to win even the Eastern Divisional title since then. Last season they finished a distant third in the AL East, well behind Tampa Bay and the Yankees, with a disappointing 89-73 record.
However the key signings of Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez have made none other than Yankees head coach Brian Cashman announce that for him, the Red Sox are favorites to take this years World Series title.
Is Brian Cashman right?
